this thursday marks the shortest day of the year in the southern hemisphere.
i am reliably informed that it will be just over two feet tall, which is remarkably short by anyone's standards, i'm sure you would agree.
meanwhile our northern neighbours will be towered over by a day exdeeding seven feet in height, which is completely ridiculous of course.
phooey to them!
