i recently started a record-drying service for local folks with damp vinyl.
it ended very badly, under a terrible weight of trumped-up lawsuits and soggy paul mccartney lyrics.
who would have thought that summer could do such dreadful things to your original beatles pressings!

Cracking image - I hope it wasn't a good record ;)
(Many, many years ago, my sister's then boyfriend hit on the great idea of carrying a pile of her 7in singles in a frying pan. It was still hot. I think I still have somewhere one of the fried records - it still played, after a fashion, but you had to weight the needle arm down to make it ride over the wavy surface without going totally ape :D)
