Artist's Comments

it was with a fair amount of trepidation that rex took to the water again.
the accident with that gull a few months back still played on his mind.
he had only been in the water a few seconds when a gang of marauding swans took sinister interest in his little paddling.
this shot was taken just moments before mother swan chomped eagerly on his backside.
we're nursing him back to health and he'll be OK in time we hope, although we expect he will never wish to visit the river again.

I love it. I am still getting over a slight fear of Swans (black ones too!) because I had a nasty run-in with one recently.

Lovely colors, the blues and the little yellow duck is just way to cute.
